Monitor for coding and work in India, by text sharpness

By Sujeet Singh · Updated 2026-10-02

For coding, documents and spreadsheets, the number that decides how sharp text looks is pixel density: pixels per inch (PPI), worked out from the screen size and resolution. Refresh rate matters far less for text. This page orders 23 monitors by PPI, highest first.

I have not tested these monitors. PPI here is calculated from the size and resolution each listing states, and the monitor finder lets you filter by your own numbers.

The size and resolution trap

The same resolution on a bigger screen means bigger pixels and softer text. A 24" 1080p screen is about 92 PPI, but a 27" 1080p screen is about 82 PPI and a 32" 1080p screen about 69 PPI. A 27" 1440p screen is about 109 PPI. At a normal desk distance, more PPI means crisper text.

Of the 23 monitors below, 7 reach 100 PPI or more, and 7 are under 85 PPI.
